Donation for Restoration of Akira Satake’s Ceramic Studio Impacted by Hurricane Helene

$1,000.00

Akira Satake, a Japanese-born ceramic artist and musician, moved from Brooklyn, New York, to Asheville, North Carolina, 21 years ago and has since operated a gallery and studio in the city’s River Arts District. Tragically, his studio was devastated by flooding from Hurricane Helene, resulting in the loss of essential equipment, materials, artworks, and income, with damages totaling over $300,000.

We kindly ask for your support to help Akira rebuild his creative space and continue inspiring people through his art. Your donations will directly contribute to the restoration of his studio, the replacement of equipment, and financial support for his employees. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Please consider helping Akira and his community recover.
