Publicado por En

Dear Friends,

Fashion Girls For Humanity will be participating in the “Alumni in Conversation” webinar series hosted by The School of General Studies at Columbia University on Wednesday May 27th at 11:30AM EDT.  FGFH Founders, Julie Gilhart, Kikka Hanazawa, Miki Higasa, and Tomoko Ogura, will be discussing the fashion industry’s response to the Covid-19 crisis, moderated by Cecilia Dean.  We hope you will be able to join us for this public event. To access, please register here and a link to view the webinar will be emailed to you 24 hours prior to the event.

We are excited to share that we have now raised close to $50,000 through our GoFundMe campaign through your generosity and we hope you can help us reach our goal of $250,000 to support our Frontliners so we can conquer this current and future public health crisis together. Continued donations will allow us to keep rolling out the production of more PPE gowns to be delivered to additional healthcare facilities in need.  Please help us support the courageous Frontline medical workers who are risking their lives every day in their fight against Covid-19.  Together, let’s make sure they have the proper protection they need!

The RealReal charity designer mask sale has already raised $10,000 in donations for the FGFH Gowns for Good Made in America initiative with a curated collection of designer masks by Albertus Swanepoel, Alabama Chanin, Collina Strada, Greg Lauren, Gypsy Sport, Karla Colletto, Maison Modulare, MISA Los Angeles, M.Patmos, Sea and VPL. The RealReal is donating 100 percent of their proceeds from the mask sale to FGFH Gowns for Good Made in America initiative, as well as providing transportation to deliver gowns from NYC Garment District makers to local hospitals in need.  Please check out the sale and support these designers who have made masks for this special sale.

In addition, the FGFH website which provides various resources for those interested in making PPE such as patterns for download and video tutorials to make face masks and gowns, has been accessed by close to 100,000 people in 150 countries across the world.  We will continue updating the website with vital information to give individuals the tools they need to organize and help protect their local communities in need. If you or anyone you know have utilized our resources, please tag us @fashiongirlsforhumanity so we can share and continue to inspire others to get involved. With gratitude,
